Have you ever wanted to go fishing without having to do any actual work?
This ALL INCLUSIVE experience will see you potentially hauling in ‘the big one’ as Jack’s is looking for guys to join us for professionally guided fishing on Lake Minnetonka. We’ve got the guide. We’ve got the equipment. You just need to come out and enjoy your moment in the sun*!

    Ok men. It's time to get out of the house and get all primitive up in here. That's right, it's a Man Class about your favorite part of the food pyramid. Meat. It's going to be you, a pig carcass, some knives and a dude who knows his ribeye from his rump roast. Served up just for you for free by the team at Jack’s.

    -Taught by U of M Professor, Dr. Ryan Cox
    -Includes tour of the meat lab then a badass cutting demonstration
    -Learn all of the cuts of meat and where they come from
    -Learn the basics of meat color, tenderness and juiciness
    -Learn the difference between tough and tender cuts
    -Learn the meat cooking fundamentals
    -AND- You get to take home the beef we cut up!

    Afterwards, we will head to Surly Beer Hall to toast to our manliness!

    About our Instructor:

    Dr. Ryan Cox currently serves as Extension Meats Specialist and Associate Professor in the Department of Animal Science and the Department of Food Science & Nutrition at the U of MN. In addition to his roles in extension and research, Ryan serves as the faculty coordinator of the Meat Science Laboratory. Before joining the faculty at the U of MN in 2008, Ryan received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Animal Science from Auburn University and his PhD in Animal and Food Science from the University of Kentucky.
