I remember the first volunteer gig Pat did for us in 2016 at our big fall fundraiser. She was posted up at an elevator at CHS Field with a key to operate it in case anyone needed it. I'm pretty sure she sat there the whole day bored to tears while everyone else was having a ball. I felt terrible for her but she didn't complain at all. She gave us very helpful feedback about what the volunteer experience was like and she had great ideas on how we could improve it. Ever since she's been the 'volunteer coordinator' for our fall fundraiser. She helps us define the roles we need volunteers to play, she recruits them, and then she informs and supports them. It's a critical role that I can't believe we ever lived without. Thank you Pat for your years of service, we simply could not do it without your support!" Pat, Why Do You Volunteer For Jack's?Initially, I began because of the passionate people I met who were working on the Coalition. Now I appreciate not only those individuals but also the people who are served by Jack’s. It is a wonderful thing to be able to directly see those who benefit from the program and be able to learn from their experiences."
