What my caregiver means to me:I can’t say enough good things about my caregiver. We started out on this journey with 5 broken bones in my spine. I’ve been in a wheelchair, a walker, or cane and he absolutely did everything for me and our two children. He does so much with and for our kids. I know he has a lot of stress and he still takes care of me and doesn’t complain about it one bit. I love him and can’t say enough good things about him. He’s just really wonderful and he loves Jack’s! What Jack's Caregiver Coalition means to me:
It is so helpful for him to talk to other guys that are going through the same thing that he is, having a wife with cancer. Jack’s has been so supportive to Mike. He’s met a lot of great people there that he calls his friends. It’s helped him a lot to deal with all the extra stress he deals with all the time. Early on it was so helpful when Jack’s would check in on Mike just to see how everything was going. Over the years Mike has been going to the Jack’s events and he really really loves going to those and meeting with the group. He’s been working the Jack’s blog a lot too. He’s been interviewing the guys and he’s been really into it and very happy to do it.
