Kathy joined us on our mission in 2020 and she is so much fun to work with! She came to us with a passion for serving caregivers and a desire to put to work the hard won wisdom she's earned about the complexities of our healthcare system. She almost single handedly created the Care Navigator program for us that she now leads. When I look back on my own caregiving journey I can't imagine how much better it would have been with someone like her helping us plow through all the red tape. Kathy brings extraordinary insights to the caregivers we serve and she does it in a way that doesn't sound preachy or like you're being talked down to. She makes you feel seen and heard first, then she shows you the way. And sometimes she's even able to take hard stuff off your plate completely!

Kathy, Why Do You Volunteer For Jack's?

I volunteer at Jack's because I've been a caregiver, and I understand it can feel lonely, overwhelming & painful at times. As a Care Navigator, it's my hope that as I come alongside caregivers, I can help unravel some of the pieces, bring encouragement, and maybe take something off their plate. If I can make their journey a little less heavy, that's my heart's hope!
