From an early age, men are taught to hold it together, to protect, to endure; but rarely to ask for help.
At Jack’s we expose and challenge that cultural conditioning. We reject the societal pressures that tell men to be stoic and self-reliant, even when they’re struggling. By challenging those expectations, we open the door to redefining strength: not as silence or suppression, but as honesty and compassion.
By 2035, we will have strengthened at least one million caregiving men.
We believe accomplishing this puts us on a path towards a world where caregiving feels like a team sport to men, not a solo burden. A world where men who care are celebrated as athletes of compassion, not outliers. Where caregiving is no longer viewed as a "women’s role"—because last we checked, love and responsibility don’t come with gender labels.
That’s what One Million Strong is about. It’s not a campaign slogan, it’s a movement. To book a meeting with us and explore how you can support it, click here.
Chris Burke, a caregiver from Virginia, shares how Jack’s Caregiver Coalition has provided crucial support throughout his caregiving journey and facing the loss of his wife, Elaine.
His experience highlights the coalition’s evolution from serving local caregivers to welcoming men nationwide as of December 2024.
